New York State’s 5th Congressional District for the United States House of Representatives is an area that covers all of North West Nassau County (Long Island) and all of South East Queens. Neighboring areas are: Jamaica Estates, Jamaica Hills, Briarwood, Cambria Heights, St. Albans, Hollis, Queens Village, South Ozone Park, Kew Gardens, Richmond Hill, Laurelton, Rosedale, Brookville, Rockaways, Rochdale, South Jamaica, Springfield Gardens, Hillcrest, Kew Gardens Hills, Fresh Meadows, South Flushing, Woodhaven as well as John F. Kennedy International Airport, Inwood, North Valley Stream, Elmont, Bellrose, and Floral Park. The district comprises mainly of middle-class families and communities.
